It all begins with an idea.
Born and raised in Southern Florida I became infatuated with drawing and creating art as soon as I could hold a crayon. I attended the University of Central Florida and received a bachelors degree in human communications while simultaneously working at Walt Disney World. In college I was often very busy and distracted and my art took a backseat to the rest of my life.
After graduating I found the adjustment from college student to full blown adult very difficult and struggled with depression. A friend requested a pet portrait from me, and then I became sort of addicted to painting everybody’s pet as I finally regained an artistic outlet.
During the pandemic I got the idea of a Last Supper illustration but with the Muppets. In a frenzy of sorts I ferociously googled this idea I had and was shocked to find it had not been executed properly before. Despite never creating a piece of artwork of the magnitude I wanted this piece to be I began to plan out how I wanted it to look and got to work. I had never had as much fun with a project as I did with “The Last Mupper” and I was filled with so much joy and pride when I had finished it. I was dismayed when it did not receive the attention I felt it deserved, that was until TikTok discovered it of course.
“The Last Mupper” helped me rediscover my passion for art and I began painting every day, discovering my style, introducing bright colors and remnants of my childhood. I was finally able to express myself in a way I felt comfortable, and I was filled with exuberance to discover other people were connecting with my art as well. I am so thankful to have started this artistic journey and I am thrilled to see where it takes me next.
